Where Things Go Wrong
Dogs will chew on anything. That is the first rule of pet product design. Slow feeder bowls need to be heavy enough that a 60-pound Labrador cannot flip them across the kitchen floor. We added a non-slip base and increased wall thickness specifically because of feedback from pet store owners.
Our Approach
Food-grade silicone is non-negotiable for pet bowls. Dogs and cats lick everything, and you do not want them ingesting fillers or cheap additives. Our material is the same grade we use for baby products, which is a higher bar than most pet suppliers meet.
Where Things Go Wrong
Color fading is a common complaint with cheap pet products. We use masterbatch coloring rather than surface printing, so the color goes all the way through. A bowl that started bright orange will still be bright orange after two years of daily use and washing.
